Normally, I’d laugh at the absurd ad, but I emailed the prankster—Draven Leto, instead. People need jobs, Mr. Leto. Prank ads are not appreciated. I wasn’t expecting to get a reply. And I certainly wasn’t expecting for the ad to be invisible to everyone else on my floor. Then, a self-proclaimed vampire with a voice that could melt honey called and invited me to interview for the position. And I accepted.
Like I said, life changing.
When Mia spots and responds to a job advert, she couldn’t possibly have envisaged her new boss being a 1,000 year old vampire! But Draven Leto is so much more than that.
This is a light- hearted, supernatural romp that follows Mia’s journey as she gets to grips with life as a vampire’s assistant and all that the role entails. The author’s storytelling is enticing, and the narration perfection.
Although Mia and Draven are very much front and centre, a host of other characters also appear, two of whom take their turn in the spotlight in Pixie Problems, the next book in the series.
If you like otherworldly tales, this is probably right up your street.
