BATTY ABOUT BOOKS
I came across a post on Twitter by the author Sally Doherty with pictures of these cute fimo bats she had made – and they were carrying books! Although I’m in the midst of a huge declutter, I thought they were so adorable and I just had to comment on the post to let Sally know, as she said she had a couple of the bats for sale. The comments suggested that they were immediately snapped up by fellow books lovers.
A couple of weeks went by, and I received a message from Sally asking if I was still interested in purchasing a bat. Of course I was! Swiftly, Barnaby the bat arrived, and has set up residence in our home office/library/music/plant room, where he is very much at home!
I don’t think Sally makes bats on a regular basis, but her Toby books are joyful and definitely worth checking out:
