This steamy paranormal romance novella ties in beautifully with the first Daemons and Lumens book, Retaliation. Here, we are introduced to Seraphina’s youngest sister, Michaela. She plans to avenge the murder of her mother and sister by seeking revenge on the Obscuritas Kings. I was totally gripped by Michaela’s story as she set about her determined plan while also trying to reconnect with Seraphina.
Michaela’s father has her hidden away for safety, but she’s used to sneaking out to go raving, and I love her sassiness! She summons a Daemon to help carry out her revenge plan, but when Morax arrives, he responds to Michaela in more ways than one! Cue chemistry, tension, intensity, and spice that sizzles hotter than a phall!
S.D. Paine’s Daemons and Lumens series is addictive; once you start reading, the characters and storylines ensnare you as you read right to the very last word.
