As well as books, I have an extortionate number of plants in my house, considering the compact size of it. I’ve always loved watching things grow and had a plant or three here and there, but my collection has blossomed somewhat lately.
The recent boom in houseplant keeping has warmed my heart, and I love to see all the pictures of people’s plant shelves on social media; instagram in particular being great for this.
Winter has been a difficult time for plant keeping, but a well-placed grow light, moving the pots to brighter areas and changing watering and fertilising routines have helped me keep most of my brood alive up until now. Here’s hoping the spring will see them burst forth with renewed energy!
